Alcohol and time

Fatalities are quite uniformly distributed over the different periods of the day, but If we filter only crashes in which alcohol is involved, we can see that the majority of them happens at night or during the evening.
This is because of the bad habits of going out, drinking and then drive; this is a very dangerous habit, in fact many states are increasing penalties for drunk-driving.

Deadly mix

It can be seen from the data that people that make a crash and are after the effects of drugs, are likely to be also under the effect of alcohol.
This kind of behaviour can have very dangerous effects.

Deadly Days

Many crashes happens during the weekend, both because many young guys come back home tired after having fun and/or drinking and also because during the weekend many families do small trips, often through roads they don't know

Deadly Months

Monthly fatalities increase in the priod form July to October.

People might think the fatalities would increase during the winter time because of the bad weather. But the fact is that the number of accidents is lower in winter than in the summer period. One possible reason could be that people during summer travels for the holiday period and they often pass through roads they don't know well.
